Everyone told us time would go by fast after our girls were born. I understand now how true that is. Two years ago Jet came rushing into this world, she definitely does things her way (she has gumption and I LOVE that about her)

We had a great day here's just a peek.

Easter...

We had a great Easter weekend. The girls were very excited this year about the egg hunts and the Easter Bunny coming.

A "BIG Thank You" to Baby J and her family in Boston for the Easter cookies. The girls loved them (and so did Dave and I)

Mae was giving Jet some directions about what to do, and not do during our church egg hunt.

Mae collected 58 eggs all by herself this year. Jet collected 31 with help from Daddy.

Jet also found the prize egg and was given a large basket of goodies (she would have rather kept the prize egg)

The Easter Bunny brought the girls new books and some candy.

We got to spend Sunday afternoon with family. The girls had a blast playing with their cousins. It was great to see them all together and playing.

As we were eating supper Mae looked out the window and said "It's SNOWING"

This is the second time this winter season we have had snow at our house. Excited about tomorrow! Snowmen, snow angels...cold cold hands!!! The weather man predicts 8-11inches.

Jet is turning into such a little "big" girl. We took one side of her crib off this afternoon. Lately she and Mae have been playing on Mae's big girl bed...and we think Jet will want her own very soon.

She likes that she can climb right in...

It's a new year...

It really is hard to believe that a year has come and gone. This time last year Mae was 26 months and Jet 6 months. They both have grown so much. Both have learned many new things.

Both spent the late summer and early fall with the Tiger football family watching the Tigers dominate and go 13-1 for the year.

In July they were introduced to their first family pet Rock. He has taught both of the girls how to be gentle and to keep their food out of reach. This is hard considering he stands 33 inches at the shoulders and weighs 115 pounds at 7 months old. The girls adore him and truly would not know what to do if he was not apart of our family.

Mae can sing the alphabet, loves doing puzzles (even mastered the 65 pieces) But my favorite thing that Mae started doing in 2009 was singing in the car. She has eclectic taste ranging from The Black Eyed Peas to AC/DC. She is stubborn and bossy, silly and loving. I can't wait to see what 2010 has in store for her!

Jet started walking,talking and wreaking havoc. She is non-stop! She loves dancing, her signature move is the stationary gallop. Running onto the court during basketball games is a habit we hope she continues. She is wild and sweet....what will "Madd Dawg" do in 2010?

Christmas...

We had a wonderful Christmas. We were able to spend time with our family and friends, and make new memories.

The girls loved our Christmas tree. Jet would even wave "bye-bye" at bedtime.

Dave read the Christmas story to the girls on Christmas eve.

Wearing new PJ's that Ma-Maw and Pa-Paw gave them and sitting on their new tricycles from Nana and Pop. (this was the only way to get a shot of them together before bedtime)

Santa left the girls some nice gifts. Next year maybe they will play with their own gifts, instead of sisters gift. Jet likes Mae's hair doll.

The tree is down. Decorations are back in storage. In about 11 months we will do it all again :)

It started snowing late Friday afternoon. We were so excited! Could not wait to get out this morning and play.

Jet liked being outside (did not like her 2 sizes to big boots, had some trouble walking)

I guess ole' Clarence was just waiting for the mantel to be decorated. He flew in last Saturday night from the North Pole.

I almost didn't see him until I took this pic of the fireplace. Rock had no idea what was going on.

But there he was just taking it all in. He said he had a great trip down here, and was looking forward to seeing the girls.

The girls were anxious to see him. And they have been pretty well behaved (they still have their moments) Each night Clarence flies back to the North Pole to give Santa the daily report, and is back before the girls wake in the morning. He has found some really great places to sit during the day. He's worried Rock might mistake him for a chew toy....so far so good.

Christmas Time's A-Comin'...

We have started counting the days to Christmas. To help Mae with her numbers I put together the advent wreath, with daily activities.

December 1st we went to the library in search of Christmas books.

Jet can get really serious when looking for books

Mae was determined to find a book about a Polar Bear, and she did!

There was a letter in the mailbox addressed to both the girls from the North Pole when we returned home.

Mae got really excited when she found out Clarence (our watchful elf) would be coming very soon to keep an eye on their behavior for Santa.

And Jet was to busy pulling on Rock's ear....Clarence will have his work cut out for him with this wild lil' girl.

(For those of you who do not know, Jet did a dare devil stunt off the couch Tuesday night and chipped her left front tooth. Took her to see Uncle Jon and he said her tooth was fine. She continues to climb, jump, run and wreak havoc without any troubles.)

The girls have been collecting candy for over 1 week. Started with a Trick or Trunk after church last Sunday and continued with more trick or trunks, festivals and finally our neighborhood last night. There is so much candy in this house right now...guess Dave and I will just have to help solve that "problem" !

Can't even wait to get home to open candy.

Mae celebrated her 3rd birthday on October 21. Last weekend we went to Ma-Maw & Pa-paws' house for cake...where she got her birthday balloon!

Mae got her birthday gifts from us on Wednesday morning (her bday) She has been asking for new princess shoes...she was excited!

We loaded up the car at 9am and headed to the NC Zoo...look at that smile when she sees the Zoo entrance.

Every Saturday morning we go with Dave to the high school. This is the time where he will clean up the training room and check on the players. Mae is a BIG help. She will move all the water bottles back to their proper location and sweep the floor with her broom. Jet is usually trying to sneak out of "Daddy's office" and her favorite way to do this is to wait on Coach. The past few weeks Coach has taken Jet with him to unlock the locker room where the team will review the past nights game footage. She usually is ready to come back to see Daddy after this, but this morning she found something she liked...the DVD player. So... I'm thinking before long Jet will just hang out with the team and watch game footage and hey, maybe even come up with a few new game plans!

She's already working on her Sports Medicine degree.

"Hey Coach, your pretty popular around here...can you get me some free popcorn at the concession stand."

Where has this year gone? Every time I turn around another month has come and gone. October will be a busy month around here. I made a little count down to Halloween calender for the girls and Mae was really excited to get the Tinkerbell gummies off the board today. Still trying to figure out what Mae&Jet will be for Halloween...we now have 30 days to get costumes together!

Mae & Jet are very lucky to have a Nana who can sew anything. She made the girls 2 new dresses and brought them to the house this week. I was so excited to see the girls wear them for church this morning. They looked so pretty! We came home and took some quick pics for Nana before the dresses got dirty.

Last week the Varsity team had their 1st home game against the team that beat them in the playoffs last year. I am happy to announce that it was not a repeat performance! Our guys had a great night with an 18-8 victory. Sorry I have no pics it was a little difficult to get snapshots with Jet sitting in my lap.

This week the varsity game is away so the girls and I headed out to the JV game.

Thank goodness the "Sha-Sha" girls (football family) do not mind Mae&Jet wanting to wear their jewelry or play with their cell phones/keys or eat their snacks. My goal for next week is to get a pic of the Sha-Shas' with the girls. Y'all are the best! Thank you for being so patient and kind to the girls.

A few months ago I tried to get Jet to sit in the booster seat at the table and it did not go so well. So today for lunch when I put her in the highchair she was kicking and crying, so we gave the booster another try.

Mae had her very first haircut this morning at 9am. She did so well, I was very proud of her! No tears, no screams. She was excited about sitting in the special chair and seeing herself in the big mirror.

Actually we went to the Science Center today and checked out all the exhibits. We saw many cool things, and some I could have done without (ex. snakes) but the girls had a great time and thats all that matters.

Yesterday was wonderful. We were able to take the girls to see the parade and spend some time with grandparents. We grilled hot dogs, and had some wonderful desserts thanks to Maw-maw and Nanna. Mae loved waving her flags...while Jet was all about chewing to comfort her gums.
